We have two tremendous new wine arrivals for you this week, a Monastrell from Alicante in Spain and a Cannonau from the sunny island of Sardinia!
Two warming reds to help you ward off the wind and rain of Storm Callum this blustery weekend…
La Tremenda Monastrell 2016 RRP18.99
(pictured right) DO Alicante
This wine is made from low-yielding Monastrell (or Mourvedre) grapes at the fabulously-named family-run winery Bodegas Enrique Mendoza.
Six months maturation in French Oak Barrels help give this red a long and silky mouthfeel.
Tremendous with Steak I can confirm!
Mora & Memo Cannonau di Sardegna 2017 RRP22.99
An Italian stunner with a distinct feminine touch.
The bouquet on this wine is sensational and follows on to a deliciously rich and smooth palate, smorgasbord of luscious fruit and spice.
In a word…Delish!
Packed in a very cool bottle and sealed with a glass cork…
